As shared by KPR board, the Otonabee Region Conservation Authority issued an advisory to residents, including our area for a Flood Watch. This message is in effect until Tuesday, December 10th. It may get soggy and wet in our yard. We hope students come prepared for this to school and avoid our water culverts on the property.

Virtual Kindergarten Orientation Kindergarten teams across KPR are re-imagining the ways they welcome new students and families for September 2020. The following is a list of resources and information, including embedded links, intended to support families of children entering Kindergarten in September at Prince of Wales Public School. Together, the kindergarten team at POW, has put together a Virtual Welcome to Kindergarten! We understand the difficulty in replacing the excitement and personal connections formed at our traditional orientation night but have worked to provide families with a digital resource that will effectively welcome, inform, reassure and invite families as partners in their child’s education at Prince of Wales Public School!

Collect Community Hours for high school! The school is looking for Grade 8 volunteers to maintain the gardens. Some of the projects include revitalizing the garden plots by painting them with Pride colours, watering and weeding and general maintenance. From all the staff and students at Prince of Wales, we would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to our 2020 graduating class! You should be very proud of yourself, your accomplishments, and your years at Prince. We wish you nothing but the best as you move on to the next phase of your education and we have complete faith in each and every one of you. You will always be Wildcats and we will miss you more than you know!

A letter has been sent out to parents/guardians to advise families on how to retrieve report cards that will be emailed out soon. Please open the following letters which have been sent with all instructions. Class placement for September 2020 will also available online for families. Instructions for access are included in the letters here. It won't be a live website until 9am on June 25th. If you run into any access issues online with these instructions, please contact the school secretaries to confirm the birthdate for entry into the report card.
